Unprofessional and unusable

App demands to be updated but no update is available. Quits thereafter so impossible to use.

Update

Since downloading the latest upgrade the app tells me the application had expired, download the latest upgrade and then shuts down. I am unable to access any information.

Useless App

App forever tells you that there is an issue with their system. Whats the use of telling me to load an app that never works?

Great app

Update brought the much needed ui look and feel updates. More functionality makes it a treat now! Very useful and responsive. Quick and easy to navigate.Saves me a login on the website and as such a lot of time too! Well done!!

Battery life

The app is nice but it depletes your battery to quick

Woolworths missed a trick

I tried to access account details and I get a message saying that I can only access account info from 07:30 to 21:00. App is for client convenience Woolworths!

Impossible to login

With an iPhone when I put in my login detail the login button is obscured by the keyboard, and theres no way to access the button to get to the next step.

Love the new design ! Passbook integration for vouchers and all cards would be awesome! 1st prize if you start supporting apple pay

Latest update does not work!

Cannot log in anymore. "Invalid card number - PAN comination". When even "combination" is misspelled I have little confidence in the developer!

Rubbish!!!

Credit card and loan account no longer linked to my store card. Thanks, you really put an effort in inconveniencing me.

Awful app

This app is useless. So many errors and at times it won’t let you sign in

iPhone app for Dash FAULTY!

the Dash section of your iPhone app is faulty AGAIN !! Today it suddenly won’t recognize my home location even though I’ve been ordering several times a week! Never come across such a GLITCHY app - please do better!

Garbage app

freezes all the time, won’t save a unit number for apartment or estate unit, drivers constantly lost because the app won’t save critical information. worst app of all time. zero stars, even after multiple total crashes and “updates” it’s worse than ever

Disappointing for Woolies

The app seems to have trouble with loading content and when I update it loses my login information. The search leaves much to be desired. I’d expect it to be as good as or better than Checkers SixtySixty but it’s not. Pity woolies isn’t keen to ensure an app experience similar to their in store experience.

The WW app continues to frustrate from a UX pov that it’s possibly easier to do a physical shop rather than using the app. In fact we have resorted to that or gone to Checkers Sixty60 which is an absolute joy. You are messing your loyal customers around with this inept tech.

Extremely frustrating!!

While the quality of the Woolies food is amazing, I’m yet to say the same for the app. It’s extremely frustrating to use this app. One day it works, the next day it doesn’t. I always seem to get stuck on the address confirmation!! Please get your IT department to fix this. I’m heading to Checkers 60/60 for better service….

Too freaking SLOW

So sick of how slow your app is. I do t have hours to spend with it! Hello checkers 60/60 - lightning fast app! Sorry woolies, it was great when it worked!

Worst Food Ordering App

While the quality of food at Woolworths is unmatched - this app does not deliver the same excellence. It’s slow, often freezes, frequently needs to be re-installed and shows errors almost daily. If Woolworths didn’t have such high quality produce - I wouldn’t bother but often we just use your competitors as their technology is far far superior. Surely Woolworths could afford to hire somebody to fix all the bugs in this app. Now what I would expect from this brand at all!!

Worst shopping app in SA

I don’t know who wrote this app but they should be fired. It is glacially slow, it takes ages to pop up a quantity menu ( obviously the backend is slow too ), it often just silently fails when doing so ( a no-no in UI design ), it gets into error loops that can only be cleared by reinstalling the app, it bombs for no reason, searches return inconsistent results and did I mention that it is PAINFULLY slow. I wonder if all the developers were DEI hires, go woke, go broke Woolies. I also wonder if it’s a native app or whether the developers elected to use some framework like React Native because native code was supposedly too hard or, supposedly, too costly. Whoever developed this for Woolworths is clearly incompetent, nearly as incompetent as the Woolworths stock management team. I’ve come to loathe this app and consequently Woolworths. Hire devs based on merit Woolworths not on their DEI credentials. Truly an awful app.

Does not work properly

Terrible, always get an error message when trying to check items out “oops something went wrong, try again later” there is no error on my part. Also, you have a bakery section that is always out of all stock

Hard to know where to start with this app. Oh wait, I know: It is slow. Slow Slow Slow. Then there is the process of chosing items and how many: ridiculously long and - wait for it - slow Browsing: well that's cumbersome and SLOW Strange that a business that can be so good in the physical retail space can be so bad at online. @woolies: fire the robot you put in charge of this thing

Terrible app. Always freezing and needing to be restarted. Very slow. Better to just use the website.

Gifts and support to elderley

I would like to suggest something a lot of children lives outside of Africa with the parents still South Africa and if they’re all day times or in need some food support or you want to send your mom or dad Father’s Day gift to her Mother’s Day gift to her birthday gift or Christmas gift or just a food parcel with nice goodies in it. It is impossible to open up our account to be able to just send the gift even not even account, but just to log into the shop and dis create a account with them outside of address an outside telephone number to be able to send the gift via to my parents. Would that be a facility you can add in the future?

The WORST APP EVER !

This app is so annoying with so many blocks and squares and pop ups but no menu whatsoever. It is also OBSESSED with getting you to select and change and switch up your delivery options even before you think of buying. A total hot mess !

Dash Shopper chat… app very slow

Overall the whole dash experience has changed. Not always for the better. The biggest issue is the app has gotten slower despite updates. The shopper chat doesn’t work. When they message you, you can’t reply it says something went wrong. It’s been like that for months. Then the shop is finished and we couldn’t confirm substitutes. Also, adding notes for each item is no longer available which is also very inconvenient. We need to be able to specify that we don’t want ripe bananas or almost at the Best before bread.

A mess of an app

Using this app is a constant struggle. For over a year it gives random error messages when trying to add items to the shopping cart. Even when the errors don’t occur, it’s slow and clunky. A stark contrast to competitors such as Sixty60. Such a frustrating experience especially given the target market.

This app never works. Freezes all the time. I give up trying.

Administration

I am unable to amend my name that you spelt incorrectly, I have to contact the call centre to correct my own name on MY profile, then I cannot even replace the Woolworths rewards card with the new one I got, I either have to contact the call centre or visit a store! Why can’t you enable a OTP so that we can amend these things from the App?????

Only for women?

For some reason, it is very difficult to take advantage of the sales for men’s closing, as it defaults only to women and you can’t choose to filter it by men

Glitchy

The app is very glitchy and is never accurate with timing. One minute it says they’re “packing” and the next minute they’re outside your house! Need more efficacy in real time feedback.

Chatting with shopper doesn’t work

Chatting with your shopper is broken. If you get a shopper you have previously spoken to, it shows the historic conversation and doesn’t let you respond to the most recent messages. Very frustrating when you are trying to respond to a substitution request.

Tiresome

Tedious procedure to get on the WiFi And Woolies card is another tiresome procedure. Ends up being no more than extortion in order to get the discounts

Slowness issue

The app is really slow to process one action. But delivery process is really fast.

Broken login

After receiving opt. Just get errors for non existing fields to be filled in. Deleted

Average App - could do much better than this

I expected more from Woolworths. It’s a good app, but it’s not a great app with great functions. Could be redone as well as should have digital slip capabilities. If Pick n Pay and checkers can do it. Why can’t Woolworths

This app is horrible

Cannot understand why this app has become so poor - freezes constantly while trying to shop groceries….

Doesn't work

The original dash app was more intuitive and most importantly actually worked - have not been able to complete a transaction with this app, deleted.

Poor Address selection system

Unable to deliver to many addresses. Seems like something to could have easily been identified in testing.

Doesn’t work

The app won’t let me create an account. Sends me an OTP but then gives me an error once I’ve submitted the OTP saying I have to submit my first name. Nowhere does it ask for my first name up to that point.

Miserably slow and buggy

I use this app every day and I am still astonished by how poorly built it is. Constantly slow, buggy, items not reflecting and then reflecting several times over, 30 second search times, it’s absolutely dreadful. Amazing to me that Woolworths corporate doesn’t realize how many millions they’re losing daily on a slow and unreliable application. I wish I could use the Checkers60 app or Uber eats to shop from Woolies

Rubbish program

Have been shipping card for years and has not pulled through any of those transactions or benifits, complete waist of time no real or significant benefit of this program complete rubbish

Slow, badly laid out and sub-par delivery times

Designed by a child with a crayon. Rather than keep the well-designed Dash app, a Clever Manager decided to integrate Dash into this, for want of a better word, app. I’m guessing so (s)he could get a bonus. Search is in the wrong place. Every single transaction is slow because nothing is cached. Delivery slots are not honored. Use sixty sixty. The app is far better. The service is almost instant and Checkers prices are generally lower. Also, Checkers actually has stock which isn’t the case with Woolworths

Worst service ever!

Woolies Dash continues to disappoint! Personal shoppers are always offline and I receive no communication from them. Items are always missing from my orders and substitutions are never suggested, even though I request this! Expiry dates are also not checked so products are very close to expiry when received. CheckersSixty60 is streaks ahead! I will continue to shop there!

App crash during live chat with personal shopper

Initially the live chat went well, then the app crashed over 9 times during live chat. I gave up. Now hoping that some of the items will arrive at my door for dinner. Unfortunately this app needs fine tuning. Generally slow for an iPhone 11.

Refund Function

There’s no proper refund function on this app. A driver took off with my groceries during loadshedding hours and it’s been weeks of me trying to get my money back. I’ve contacted customer service through email, social media, and telephone. An endless loop of a round around and no refund. You need to have the assistance team work something similar to UberEats where you can connect to help immediately and really process the refund when something goes wrong. Not talk to many people and no comes of it. Products are too expensive for this nonsense. Do better Woolworths!

Forms of payment

I appreciate the response but I do not agree. I am using these cards (Amex and US Visa) that are 3D secure and I receive authentication on other online sites and apps, for example Superbalist and Takealot so why are they not accepted at Woolies. Perhaps you can authorize to use Apple Pay payments when ordering from our mobile on the Woolies app. Then perhaps it would allow me to use my cards setup in Apple Pay. Original message: Poor that you do not accept the same form of payments on the apps as you do in store. Would love to see you start accepting AMEX. Have asked for this for nearly a year. Can you advise as to why not.

I really love the app i can access all the info i need and shop to my hearts content. It is easy to use and makes my life so much easier

The downside about ordering on the app is that when it malfunctions when one is about to complete a transaction, there’s no warning that alerts me that there’s a technical problem. After several attempts after thinking I was doing something wrong, it took me calling your call centre for someone to give me an solution by suggesting that I order on the website, which helped but not ideal as there should be convenience offered by the app that saves me from unnecessary admin.☹️

Crashes all the time

Hi, app crashes all the time, orders on app and website don’t sync back. No Responce’s to complaints, or don’t come back with feedback after promises to do so. A really poor effort from Woolies

Updated checkout is not great

The checkout on the updated app is not great at all. Can’t see delivery times properly nor does it save the selection when you choose “phone me to confirm any substitutions” - I end up getting products I don’t want.

Credit card authentication not working

App container/frame showing the credit card authentication screen does not let me scroll down to Confirm purchase. Please fix.
